artist megan cedro is a self taught painter/illustrator. she was born in
the southern swamplands of florida and began her exploration of
drawing in the garden state. throughout her adolescence, she crafted her signature style that has resonated throughout her entire current collection of work. the personal grasp for human identity and self- awareness in a constantly changing and amorphous body is the dominant motif in her work. the cartoon-like images are highly expressive, symbolic and often anthropomorphic perceptions of the people around her. she describes her work as folklore, inspired by nature and fashion.
